Jack Rudnick is an experienced corporate and intellectual property attorney who has been providing legal counsel for almost 40 years. Through Hiscock & Barclay, LLP, he provides emerging technology clients with assistance in navigating complex contracts and patents. He worked for almost 20 years at Oneida Ltd., eventually serving as the vice president general counsel.
Professor Rudnick then moved to the healthcare industry in 1992 as the vice president and general counsel at Welch Allyn, Inc. He helped co-found Blue HIghway, LLC., a subsidiary of Welch Allyn, Inc. formed to identify and accelerate the development of new medical technologies. He stayed in his post as senior vice president, legal and government affairs after Blue Highway was transferred and sold to Syracuse University.
Professor Rudnick taught a general counsel applied learning course from 1996 to 2006 at Syracuse University as an adjunct professor. In 2011, he returned as an adjunct professor to instruct and mentor student teams in the Technology Commercialization Law Program alongside Professor Ted Hagelin. In July of 2013, he was appointed as Director of both the Technology Commercialization Law Program and the New York State Science & Technology Law Center.
Professor Rudnick is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, and the Association of Corporate Counsel (past president of Central and Western New York chapter). Jack has also served as the company representative to the Business Council of New York. His past activities include serving on the Hospice of the Finger Lakes Board of Directors and the Everson Museum of Art Board of Trustees. Jack was President of the Everson Museum of Art from 2007-2009.Contact Information:
