2008 Economic Summit: Development and Energy

Congresswoman Kirsten Gillibrand will lead a collaborative economic summit bringing together representatives from business, education, labor, local government, environmental groups, the media, and local communities to examine opportunities in the energy sector and develop an effective, informed plan for new economic growth.

The summit will present and analyze current modes of accessing capital and tax credits and examine some of the most successful state approaches to energy innovation, with the resulting impact on regional economies. The format of the summit will combine expert presentations, panel sessions, and an interactive technology called eFORUM, designed to collect instant feedback from summit participants and identify action steps and plans. Following the summit, a report will be published online to encourage and facilitate future action in the community. The summit will be coordinated by the Public Forum Institute, an independent, nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization that has considerable experience with similar efforts.



UVANY Capital Forum: Emerging Investment Opportunities in Green & Renewable Technologies
