NYS STLC is Vetting for Spring Research Projects.
The Research Associates at the Technology Commercialization Research Center (TCRC), a part of the New York State Science and Technology Law Center, have identified over eight research projects for the spring. More requests are in the queue and students are being sought to fill the need. For information about obtaining research for a technology contact mzimme01@law.syr.edu .

NYS STLC Research Associates Participate in Pre-Seed Workshop
MedTech in partnership with CenterState CEO hosted a Pre-Seed Workshop at the Tech Garden in Syracuse. Some of the J.D. students from the NYS STLC participated in the two-day event, assisting an entrepreneur in preparing for the commercialization process.

NYS Hot Spots and Business Incubators
The 2013 Regional Economic Development Council Awards have been announced and the Designated Business Incubators and Innovation Hot Spots have been identified. These Business Incubators and Hot Spots will have a large role in The START-UP NY initiative.

Startup Genome and the Upstate Ecosystem Map
Upstate Venture Connect is utilizing the Startup Genome platform to provide a map of the area's innovation ecosystem. Startups, resources and entrepreneurs can use the map to tell others more about themselves and find new connections.

The FDA recently released a document detailing which mobile apps created for health or medical purposes will be subject to oversight.

The second Startup Labs Syracuse will be hosting a launch party to introduce the 2014 teams that includes an entrepreneur panel and an interview Startup Labs Co-Founder, Clint Nelson.
